FAQs

What is an LMFT? An LMFT (Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist) is trained in relationship-focused therapy. I support individuals as they explore and deepen their relationships—with themselves and with others.

How do I know if I need therapy? Therapy is for everyone. Life’s challenges can feel overwhelming, and therapy offers a safe space to better understand yourself, process difficult emotions, and build the skills for healing and growth.

Who do you work with? I support individuals facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship dynamics, grief, perinatal and postpartum experiences, self-esteem, sexuality, and trauma.

Do I need to live in Seattle? No. I offer tele-health services to individuals across Washington state.

How do I get started? Whether you’re just considering therapy or ready to schedule your first session, please reach out via the contact form. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to see if we’re a good fit.

Do you accept insurance? Through Shelterwood Collective, I accept Premera and LifeWise insurance plans. For other insurance, I’m an out-of-network provider and can provide a superbill for you to submit for possible reimbursement. To confirm your benefits, contact your insurance member services.

What forms of payment do you accept? I accept credit card payments through a secure, confidential platform. Payment is due at the end of each session.

What is the No Surprises Act? The No Surprises Act gives you the right to receive a clear estimate of your therapy costs before you start. This helps prevent unexpected charges and ensures transparency. If you want an estimate, just ask when you reach out to schedule.

What is your cancellation policy? I require 48 hours’ notice to cancel without charge. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the appointment will be charged the full session fee.

Do you offer phone or video sessions? Yes. Currently, I offer therapy exclusively via secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms for client safety and to reach people across Washington.

How long does therapy usually last? Therapy length varies based on individual needs. For best results, weekly sessions are recommended initially until a strong therapeutic relationship is established and symptoms stabilize. My approach is process-oriented, requiring patience and commitment.
